   I always enjoy your website! Well done. I do read it from time to time. It’s very much needed. Also, I am a fan of Senegal – even though I’ve never been!!!

   I’ve just finished reading a fantastic book that I know you will love. It’s called ‘Wake Up and Smell the Fufu’ and it’s by Christian Njoya Diawara Small. This beautiful young British(Afro-Caribbean) man died in the terrorist bombings in London in 2005 but wrote this book before he was killed. He had travelled around West Africa to try and understand his ancestry, racial and cultural heritage. He sent e-mail diaries of his experiences to his friends.

   On his return, he started to turn these e-mails into a book. After he was killed his family got it published on his behalf. The result is a real treat! As soon as I finished reading it I started reading it again.

   Please, please – try and get hold of a copy. I’d love to know what you think.
